Thanks Tonya!

I just need to take a minute to thank my friend Tonya.

I met Tonya at a softball tournament when her husband stepped in to play for our team when we were down a player. He didn't play much due to an injury but I am so thankful that he said yes when asked to play.

I met her in a car loaded with ladies ready to go shopping. She laughed at a joke. I knew we would be friends!

Since that tournament, Tonya and I have shared great joy (trip to KY...where are we?), some sorrow (Russ's dad) and lately Tonya has journeyed through an illness that has left even the medical professionals baffled.

Through it all we have laughed. Some think we are an odd pair because even during Tonya's illness we have laughed...
O-H......................IO!
"We are Russ's wives."
"Did I shave my legs?"
"Are you the little Dr. that is supposed to see Tonya?"
"I forgot Tuesday."

Humor goes hand-in-hand with our friendship. And for that I am so thankful!

Tonya surprised me the other day. I have been feeling a little yucky recently about myself and to top it off I was about to turn 40. She and Ryan wanted to have a party for me but I just wanted to hang out with some friends, bowl and have a nice dinner. But she got me. She planned a surprise party for me (while having "episodes") and was able to keep it from me. We had a blast. We laughed a lot!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank her for being such a great friend!
