This morning was busy. I do busy pretty well. Busy keeps my body going as well as my mind. Busy doesn't always look very pretty but busy can keep the ugliness out of my heart.
But being busy doesn't solve the problems. It masks them. It hides them. Busy pushes them under the rug but when you want to pass by, you have to go over the junk. You still have the problems.
Being still.
Being still. Reflecting on being still. What would stillness bring to the problems? Stillness makes me aware that I am not perfect. Stillness makes me think. Stillness opens me up to being a target, to realizing that I need to confront the reasons behind the busyness.
My goal for the next few hours is to be still. To pray. To listen. To be obedient to what He has for me, my family, and even for my friends.
Being still........

Saw your comment on my blog...please come visit our little house in the country! Kerristetler@gmail.com. Email me and we can make plans. Just read your post about Samantha's birthday. 15?! How did that happen so quickly? Seriously, let's make plans. I am going to be in Columbus over the holidays for an extended time, maybe coffee then too.
Yessss....I would love to see you, any way that I can. Know that you are missed and loved her in CBus.
