I love thee...

What can you say as tribute to 19 years of marriage?  I am not quite sure my words will adequately express what an incredible journey this has been.

Elizabeth Barrett Browning penned so long ago, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways."  I believe this to be a fitting way to begin...


19.  I love thee because you make the bed if you are the last one to get up in the morning.

18.  I love thee because you take the time to wipe out the sink after the dishes are done.

17.  I love thee because you get me gas when the van is running low.

16.  I love thee because you have worked so very hard to perfect your cycling skills but you   always make sure that riding will not interfere with the family plans.

15.  I love thee because you like spaghetti.

14.  I love thee because you challenge me to get fit and encourage me along the way.  Your support is unconditional.

13.  I love thee because you let me love TENNIS SHOES!

12.  I love thee because you are teaching your son how to be a wonderful husband. 

11.  I love thee because you are showing Samantha how a husband should treat his wife.  She sees it and should expect it from her suitor, her boyfriend, her husband. 

10.  I love thee because you show so much patience with me!

9.   I love thee because you take time to talk.

8.   I love thee because you take time to listen.

7.  I love thee because you take time to wipe my tears.

6.  I love thee because this is number 6 and there are about 500 more reasons.  You make it very easy to love you.

5.   I love thee because even though you think you are selfish,  you are the most giving, unselfish man I know.

4.   I love thee because you know how important it is for us to LAUGH.  And Laugh we do.  Our inside jokes are priceless.

3.   I love thee because you love Jesus.  The bracelet is not just for show.    

2.   I love thee because you are a hard worker, a provider, an encourager, a believer, a leader, a listener, a man of his word.

1.  I love thee because  26 years ago, you didn't give up.  You were persistent.  You knew that laundry needed to be done but you kept asking and asking.  I love thee because 19 years ago, we said "I Do," and we have!  We have kept working on this marriage, and have kept our love a priority.  

Ryan Neil Meanor.  These are just 19 reasons why I love thee.  I truly am excited what the years ahead hold for us as a family and as a couple.  It is cliche but I kind of think that "the best is yet to come!"
