15 Years

So many events have been happening in the sports world and I know that at least one of you have been anxiously awaiting my perspective on The Heisman trophy, BCS championship, OSU vs Texas, etc. I will look back at the last couple of weeks soon but today I am dedicating this bit of space in the world o'blogs to my husband of 15 years.

I have started this blog so many times because I am trying to find the right word to express what the last 15 years have been like with my husband. I can't. I can't find the words to tell you that I am so thankful for the husband that God so lovingly gave me...He placed us both in the cafeteria line at Malone college in the Fall of 1987 and so patiently made a way for us to become husband and wife.

I want Ryan to know that I still blush when he comes in to a room looking for me.

I still get excited when I hear the door open at the end of the day and in walks the man of my dreams.

I want him to know that when I have a funny story, a sad story, a heartache and even a toothache, he is the one that I want to share it with.

I want him to always remember our history, our love story. One that God scripted especially for us. Yes, there were 6 1/2 years of dating, long distance, illness, distractions, death, life, laughter, tears, babies, house payments, car payments, school loans, decisions, rejections, acceptance and love. God used His mighty Hands to direct us to Columbus and set in motion a love story that I am so humbled to be a part of.

I also want Ryan to know that I am in this for...ever! There are so many years of adventure waiting for us and I am in for the ride!

I love you, Ryan. I certainly do not believe that this short blog will ever describe the love that I have for you. Thanks for sticking in there with me. Thanks for being a Godly man, a man of integrity.

Here's to us, Honey...
