Julie Jones

I did not know Julie Jones very well.

I do know that she cared for three of my dear friends. And so many others. Countless others.

She helped a friend of mine that had some difficulty finding a job. My friend was lost and Julie took the time and went to bat for her, pleading her case to all that would listen. She got my friend probably the job of her dreams. She also gave her many hours of listening, not judging. She cared.

Another friend of mine lost a baby shortly after birth. Julie loved my friend through tender phone calls and prayers. Constant encouragement came from her lips and always a hug, a shoulder and an ear to listen.

She worked with yet another friend of mine and just the few times that Julie's name would come up in conversation, I knew that she was making a difference in the workplace. Not an ill word was ever spoken about Julie Jones.

Julie lost her battle with breast cancer yesterday. Like so many others that have gone before, she fought courageously. Her husband, children, church family, school family, and those of us who just knew of Julie are sad today.

Julie, you will be missed by so many. Thank you for who you were, who you represented.
